SEEKING SUCCESS IN E-BUSINESS: A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY APPROACH

IFIP Working Group 8.4

Second Conference on E-business: multidisciplinary research and practice in Copenhagen June 9-11 2002
.

This conference will forge ties among and between researchers from different disciplines with an interest in E-Commerce / E-Business (EC/EB). The conference has a peer-refereed research track and a panel track which aims to attract eminent business and government experts from Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Uncertainty about EC/EB exists at both empirical and theoretical levels. While considerable research has been conducted into specific aspects of EC/EB, researchers remain unsure about many of the broader issues. Much of the research quoted still draws very heavily upon the two "original" EC/EB disciplines of Information Systems and Marketing, although there is important and innovative work being undertaken in disciplines as widely varying as sociology, anthropology, politics, economics, management, law, computer science, engineering, architecture, health sciences and history.

Seeking to contribute to better research based understanding of EC/EB through an integrated, multi-disciplinary agenda, the IFIP Working Group 8.4 conference on Seeking success in e-business: a multi-disciplinary approach is inviting researchers and practitioners to participate in the second conference held in Copenhagen June 9 -11 2002.

The Copenhagen conference is held after the ECIS conference in Gdansk (June 6-8) and prior to the Bled E-commerce Conference in Slovenia (June 17-19).
